Whittlesea Community Connections is here to help people impacted by the Longwood fire.
How we can help:
- General legal information, advice and referrals
- Social work support and brief crisis support
- Hardship assistance support (including fresh food relief, frozen meals, medication waivers, children’s items, toiletries)
- Help applying for payments and grants i.e. utility relief and Queens Funds grants for single women, and hardship/disaster payments
- Help with form filling, paperwork, and documentation i.e. ID, passports, Medicare etc.
- Support navigating services such as Centrelink, housing, insurance, emergency relief, and community supports
- Culturally responsive support to migrant, refugees and newly arrived communities
- Support for people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity
