Whittlesea Community Connections respectfully acknowledge the Traditional owners of the lands, we acknowledge their continuing connections to the lands, waters and community and pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
The Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander programs and support services team provides Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community support and cultural preservation initiatives.
Our main mission is to build strength in families through the provision of quality Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community support services. Our vision is to help Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families, youth and communities flourish.
Our support and programs include:
- Cultural diversity workshops and training
- Public Speaking
- Youth Events/programs
- Securement of sponsorship and support for approved indigenous Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community programs
- Tailored orientation for Indigenous Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families
- Work readiness and ongoing support through mentor training and management.
