Whittlesea Community Connections (WCC) started in 1973 as a small volunteer-run organisation operating from a solicitor’s office upstairs in Lalor. Since then, the organisation has grown to employ over 55 staff and 300 volunteers who work together to address the needs of individuals and groups facing disadvantage, isolation and obstacles to effective social and economic participation. General Manager, Finance and Corporate Services
Reporting to the CEO, this executive leadership role oversees finance, technology, payroll, facilities, risk and compliance, ensuring WCC remains financially sustainable, well-governed and positioned to deliver positive outcomes for the community.
Working closely with the Board and leadership team, you will help strengthen systems, support strategic decision-making and contribute to the long-term success of a growing, community-led organisation.

Refugee Employment Mentor
Working within WCC’s Economic Pathways to Refugee Integration Program (EPRI), this role provides mentoring, guidance and practical support to refugees as they build confidence and navigate pathways to employment, education and training. The position also works closely with employers, training providers and community partners to create meaningful opportunities and positive settlement outcomes.
