Whittlesea Community Connections (WCC) started in 1973 as a small volunteer-run organisation operating from a solicitors office upstairs in Lalor. Since then the organisation has grown to employ over 30 staff and 300 volunteers who work together to address the needs of individuals and groups facing disadvantage, isolation and obstacles to effective social and economic participation. WCC values their staff who are offered above award salaries and flexible working arrangements in a supportive work environment.

Current Vacancies

1) Multicultural Communities Lawyer: This position is for a Multicultural Communities Lawyer who will work with the Healthy & Connected Communities Team to engage with and provide legal services, information and targeted outreach for multicultural clients who are, or are likely to, experience legal need exacerbated by access issues. This position is a full time ongoing role

2) Community Lawyer: The Community Lawyer reports to the Principal Lawyer. Accountability will be through support & supervision sessions, conducted by the Principal Solicitor provision of regular reports, and participation in performance reviews & appraisals. This role is subject to a six month probationary period.

3) Family Violence Lawyer: The Family Violence Lawyer will work in a dynamic intersectional environment within the Gender Equity & Family Violence Team to deliver advice, casework, advocacy and community legal education.
