Recently, Whittlesea Community Connections joined community members, volunteers and supporters to celebrate an important milestone in the journey of Mernda Neighbourhood House.
Established and supported by WCC, the House has grown over the years with staffing, funding, partnerships, systems and governance support, while local residents have increasingly shaped its programs, priorities and future direction.
Mernda Neighbourhood House is now transitioning to an independent, community-led association, marking an exciting new chapter and recognising the strong local leadership that has developed over time.
The celebration was a special opportunity to reflect on the journey, recognise the many people who have contributed, and celebrate the community that will lead the House into the future.
