WCC Submission to Multicultural Framework
Whittlesea Community Connections (WCC) is dedicated to fostering inclusion and empowerment in the City of Whittlesea, Melbourne’s outer-north. Through services like settlement support, training and community engagement, WCC addresses complex barriers, including family violence prevention with multicultural communities.
Our proposal for the Australian Multicultural Review emphasizes principles like integrating multiculturalism with intersectionality, targeted services and a National Anti-Racism Strategy. WCC also advocates for building a diverse workforce and removing policies that exclude migrant communities, promoting integration and societal harmony. Inquiry into securing the Victorian food supply
Whittlesea Community Connections (WCC) welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the inquiry into securing the Victorian food supply.
WCC’s response to the inquiry is based on our experience working in a peri-urban area providing social supports to people living in a growth area and opportunities and challenges we have encountered in establishing the food collective and farm. You can find more information in the downloadable document titled “WCC – Securing Victoria’s Food Supply”.
