What payment methods are accepted?
We accept payment from all major debit and credit cards. Payment is required prior to the lesson being scheduled. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash payments at this time. Please note that instructors cannot take payments for lessons.
What do we offer?
We offer lessons 7 days a week, from 6am to 9pm.

Do we offer manual driving lessons?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer manual driving lessons. We only provide lessons in automatic vehicles.
How many driving lessons do I need?
The number of driving lessons will depend on your confidence level, previous driving experience and how quickly you learn new skills. Below is a basic guide of what you might need.
- New drivers with no experience: between 10 to 20 hours of lessons
- New drivers with some experience: 5 to 10 hours
- International driver license holders: 5 hours
We recommend that new drivers pre-purchase a bundle of 10 lessons, and for those with some experience a bundle of 5 lessons to get you started. Feel free to discuss the amount of lessons you will need with your driving instructor after your first lesson.
Do I need my own car or is a vehicle provided?
All driving lessons and driver tests take place in driverED instructor vehicles.
Are your instructors qualified?
All our instructors are fully certified and highly experienced. All instructors have been trained to work with people who are culturally and linguistically diverse.
All instructors have the following training and certifications:
- Driving Instructor Authority (DIA)
- Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport-Car Driving Instruction)
- Australian Police History Check
- Working with Children Check
- Child Safe training
What if I am not longer able to make my lesson?
If you are no longer able to attend a driving lesson you have booked, please contact your driving instructor via SMS to inform them and to reschedule the lesson with them to a future date.
What if I want to change instructors?
We would be happy to change you to a new instructor at any time. Please contact us to organise this.
Does DriverED provide driving lessons in my area?
We operate across the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. This covers the local government areas of Whittlesea, Nillumbik, Merri-bek, Hume, Banyule and Darebin. Click here to check if we deliver to your postcode.
Can I have lessons if I have never driven before?
Yes, all instructors are able to provide driving lessons to any learner driver who has not driven before.
Does DriverED vehicles have dual controls?
Yes, our modern vehicles are dual controlled.
