FREE SOCCER PROGRAM

Whittlesea Community Connections is starting a new online soccer program for young people, between 12 to 25 years, who live, work, study or play in Whittlesea. We will be running separate sessions for different genders and age groups.

We are working with Melbourne City FC & Australian goalkeeper (former Matildas captain), Melissa Barbieri, to develop some videos of skills and techniques that can be practiced at home. These can be adapted to wherever you are practicing such as outdoors in the backyard, at a park or even in your living room. Melissa will also be dropping into a few of the weekly online Zoom sessions we will be holding!

Lachlan and Sarah at Banyule Community Health will also drop in to check in on the wellbeing of young people and disseminate gambling prevention information, resources and how they can help.

We can provide a soccer ball if you don’t already have access to one. All skill levels are welcome, including those who have never played soccer but would like to give it a go!

If you are interested in the program please contact Dean Marando at DMarando@whittleseacc.org.au & Ruvee Ratnayake rratnayake@whittleseacc or call 0473 019 831.
We will revert to running an outdoor soccer program once the Covid-19 restricted are lifted and it is safe to do so. To register your interest, please fill in the form, and we will contact you with further details.
