Whittlesea Community Connections provides services to support and assist those disadvantaged within our communities. We provide direct help and assistance and link  people to the right place, person or organisation.

By running special programs we are able to direct our resources to those in most need.

At present we have…

• Workers and volunteers who provide an emergency relief service for Whittlesea residents facing financial hardship.
  
• Free legal services to those in the community unable to afford or access services elsewhere.
  
• A volunteer resource service to provide local people an opportunity to work towards the relief of poverty and misfortune within their community by becoming active volunteers within the community and human services sector.
  
• Workers who work specifically with migrants and refugees. These workers give assistance designed to help in the settlement of new arrivals to Australia who face disadvantage within the community.
  
• Workers who work specifically with the Macedonian and Arabic speaking Communities, assisting new arrivals in  their settlement and providing linguistically and culturally sensitive casework services.
  
• Whittlesea Connect Community Transport Service that works in partnership with Whittlesea communities to provide community transport to those facing isolation and other transport disadvantage
  
• A Tax-Help program which runs each tax season and assists those on low-incomes in preparing annual tax-returns.
  
• A computer resource room for those in the  community who otherwise may not be able to afford computers and internet services.
