Whittlesea community members who hold a full driving license are invited to volunteer as driving mentors. Full VicRoads mentor training is provided. A car and petrol for all supervised driving sessions is also provided as part of the program. For further information, contact Edmond.

Since July 2007, a key element of the new Victorian Licensing System requires that all learner drivers aged under 21 years log a minimum of 120 hours of supervised driving before they can sit their probationary driving test. The L2P Program is a Victorian Government initiative that aims to help young learner drivers who may have considerable difficulty in achieving this, unless a community-based program is available.
The Whittlesea L2P is a community-based partnership project involving VicRoads, the City of Whittlesea Council and Whittlesea Community Connections. Community members are also involved as steering group members and as volunteer driver mentors.
