Emergency Management

Volunteering in Emergency Management Project

The Volunteering in Emergency Management Project aims to increase the number and diversity of people volunteering in emergency management. This includes the involvement of people different cultures, young people and women in particular.  The project is managed by a board consisting of several partners including the Country Fire Authority (CFA), the City of Whittlesea Council, Whittlesea Community Connections and the La Trobe Bushfire Co-operative Research Centre.

As part of the project we are currently looking for women, young people and people from non-English speaking backgrounds to be trained as volunteer Peer Educators in emergency response and prevention and home fire safety.
